Q.

Hi Dr. Qureshi. This is just great to see. I am 52 years old and wearing Invisalign braces that were fitted by my orthodontist in Essex. It is the best thing I have done and it has boosted my confidence 100%. Thanks for your video, it inspired me to get Invisalign treatment!

Will I Be Charged For A Replacement Invisalign Aligner?

April 1st, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Qureshi, I’m wondering if you could help me. I stood on my Invisalign aligner by accident. It fell out of my mouth as I was putting it in and I just stepped on it. It’s completely snapped. I’m not keen on my dentist, I feel as though he lectures me and I don’t want to go back just for him to be angry at me and tell me I have to pay a lot of money for a new replacement. Will I be charged for the replacement of this particular set of aligners? Thanks in advance for your help!

What Happens To Your Teeth After You Have Braces Fitted? Do They Move Back?

March 17th, 2014
Q.

How do I know if I need braces? I visited a dentist recently and she said mine isn’t a particularly severe case but there is a gap of 1mm between my upper jaw set and my lower jaw set. If I wish to improve my smile I want something not too noticeable like lingual braces. I’d just like to know the cost – is it generally costly to get this type of brace system? I’m not sure whether I should go for braces. Considering the time and money involved in it. Also, what happens afterwards, do your teeth move or stay in place? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Can I Have Lingual Braces Before My Maxillofacial Surgery Instead Of Fixed Braces?

March 10th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Qureshi. I hope you can help me with my question as I would like clarity on my subject. I have had Maxillofacial surgery about 9 years 8 years ago, I am 28 now and am having to go through the treatment again as I have a bad bite, so my jaw is still slightly to one side, and the bite is not correct. I hate having to have braces again but I wanted to ask; can the orthodontist use lingual braces instead of the regular ones before the surgery, as I do not like the idea of having braces on the front of my teeth again? Many thanks. I thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing your reply.

Hello. What Kind Of Brace Would You Issue To Treat A Mild Cross-bite?

March 3rd, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Hutchinson. What kind of brace would you usually issue to treat a mild cross-bite? I’m just looking into some options before I go ahead and book a consultation. Also, If you could give me a general price range on what I could be expecting? That would be fabulous. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Hi Dr Qureshi, I have a question fr you. I am 49 years old and am considering lingual braces. How Can Six Month Smiles Treatment Guarantee That It Will Only Take Six Months To Correct My Teeth?

February 17th, 2014
Q.

Hello Ian Hutchinson. I’m thinking of having a six month smile brace. What I am a little unsure of, and what I hope you can help me with is that I have been told that treatment time very much depends on my individual circumstances, with this in mind how can you guarantee that this treatment will take only six months? Also what brace system does the six month smile use is it lingual or on the front? It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me with this.

I Don’t Know Which Procedure Would Be Right For Me? I Have A Gummy Smile And I Would Like This Fixed.

February 10th, 2014
Q.

Hi, I have always disliked my teeth and I have been looking into cosmetic dentisty for a while. The problem I have is that I don’t know procedure it is that I require. My dentist doesn’t undertake cosmetic work but did inform me to look into lingual braces if I wasn’t happy. My top right teeth stick out slightly more than my top left teeth especially the front right tooth and the one next to it. I also have a ‘gummy smile’ which I hate. Not sure if anything can be done about my bottom teeth but when I was younger my dentist removed one of the bottom four smaller teeth, where you should have 4 smaller teeth on the bottom I have three one which is the size of two. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How Long On Average Would It Take Social Six To Treat A Protruding Canine?

February 4th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hutchinson. I’m looking into getting lingual braces but I don’t feel that I need them attaching to the whole of my teeth as it’s my front teeth that I am most concerned about and which need straightening. I’ve heard the social 6 braces can treat the 6 front teeth and would like to know if this is applicable to both sets? Also, how long would on average would it take to treat a protruding canine with this type of brace? Thank you for your time! I hope you can help me with this matter.

Are Traditional Fixed Braces A Better Way Of Obtaining The Hollywood Smile Or Do Lingual Braces Work Just As Well?

January 27th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Qureshi, I have 6 months smile braces on my teeth. I would like to know if I had the lingual braces, would I get a nicer looking smile? I want the “hollywood” smile. I also do not have any problems with my bite. I don’t feel any pressure or pain, so I feel like the teeth are not really moving much. I sometimes feel if I had the traditional braces I would end up with a better looking smile, is this true? I have the impression traditional braces are more stronger and do a better job, because they cause more pain and I have seen people after they have them and their smile is really beautiful. Thank you for your time.
