Which Braces Have The Fastest Treatment Time?

May 22nd, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Qureshi, I’m hoping you can help me out. Around 6 years ago I had braces and my teeth were fine after treatment, very straight. I didn’t wear the retainer as much as I should have so I only have myself to blame I know, but my teeth have now moved back to their original position. Obviously I want my teeth to be straight again, but now time is an issue so I need the fastest brace possible!!! What would you suggest? I’ve been looking at both fixed and removable braces. Thanks!

Which Brace Would Be Best For An Overlapping Tooth?

May 19th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hutchinson. I have overlapping teeth. One of my front bottom ones overlaps the other one and it’s unsightly. I don’t know which braces to get as it’s only for the one tooth, and I know how expensive brace systems can be. Could you help me determine which would be best? I’d prefer discreet treatment really but ultimately I just want the tooth sorting out as it’s been a problem for me for the last 14 years. Thank you very much.

Do I Need A Brace For Just Two Teeth?

May 16th, 2014
Q.

Hello.
I’ve been to see my orthodontist a few times now and every time I go they’ve said I need a different kind of brace! It’s all because I’ve got two crooked tooth at the bottom of my mouth at the front. I’m not interested in treating any other teeth, just those two. I’ve been recommended 6 month smiles and invisalign, but I don’t really even want braces for just two teeth when the rest are fine! Can you recommend a treatment that’s just for one tooth? Thanks!!

Which Is Faster: Lingual Braces Or Removable Braces?

May 13th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Hutchinson. Around 5 years ago when I was 15, I had braces fitted because my teeth were very crooked and crossed over each other at the bottom. However when they were taken out, I didn’t wear my retainer as much as I should (I know, my bad!) so now my teeth are a bit of a mess again. I’d love to have straight teeth again, and I want them as soon as possible really. I’ve looked at lots of different kinds of braces, would fixed or removable braces be better for me in terms of treatment time? Thanks!

What’s The Difference Between Lingual Braces And Invisalign?

May 6th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Qureshi, I wondered if you could help me. I have had terrible teeth for many years, they are crooked and horrible to look at and have decided to get braces to straighten them out. I’ve been looking at lingual braces and also at Invisalign, what’s the difference? I know a few celebrities have used Invisalign so it intrigued me, however I do like the sound of lingual braces. Which would be best for me? Thank you.

I’ve Had A Lot Of Dental Treatments In The Past. Does This Mean I Can’t Have Lingual Braces?

May 6th, 2014
Q.

Hi, I was wondering if you’d help me as I’m a bit confused. I’ve had a fair bit of dental treatment on my teeth over the years, so I’m wondering if this would hinder my getting lingual braces in any way? I’ve had root canal treatments on 4 teeth, and have had implants to replace the missing teeth as well as a filling in one of my back molars at the bottom. I’m now 35 but when I was 16 I had a retainer, only I didn’t wear it often enough which is why my teeth are still crooked. So is there any reason why I shouldn’t have lingual braces? Thank you for your time.

Will The Inman Aligner Affect My Speech?

April 28th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Hutchinson. I’ve got a slight overbite and some crooked front teeth. Now, I’ve been looking at the Inman Aligner as I’ve read that it works quickly and comfortably, but could you tell me if it’s going to affect my speech or not? I give regular speeches to large, corporate groups and I would have to consider some other form of treatment if this was the case? Would I be better with Invisalign which I can remove at such important times? Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I Need Dental Treatment But I’m Scared Of Going To The Dentist. What Can I Do?

April 25th, 2014
Q.

I am very scared of going to the dentist, I have been since I was younger. I’d just avoided going but now my teeth look so bad and crowded, I really need them sorting out. Will lingual braces cause any pain in my mouth? Many thanks.

Which Brace System Would Be Best Closing A Gap Between My Teeth In A Short Amount Of Time?

April 24th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Qureshi. I really hope you can offer your advice. I have a gap in my front teeth and it really bugs me. I would like to know if Invisalign would work for me. Ideally I’d like to have clear braces but I would go with the Damon braces or Inman Aligner if that would work faster. I have a wedding to go to in the next eight months and I’d like it sorted by then. What would be the best option? I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time.

Will Lingual Braces Make My Teeth Look Better?

April 23rd, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Hutchinson. I don’t like my teeth as they are too big and look crooked. They make my smile look unattractive. In particular it is the front upper teeth that are causing problems. I like the idea of lingual braces, could they solve my problem? I’m 26 and have good oral health despite my horrible teeth. I hope you reply as I am distressed about the state of my teeth.
