Why Do I Still Have an Overbite?

August 4th, 2014
Q.

Hi there Dr Hutchinson. Recently I had Invisalign to sort out my overbite and crooked teeth. However since I finished the treatment which took 18 months, I’ve noticed that my overbite is as bad as it always has been, if not worse than it was before! My teeth are definitely straighter but they don’t meet the way they should do and I feel as though my overbite is very noticeable. What should I do? I’ve paid a lot of money and don’t want to spend any more but I’m certainly not happy. My orthodontist seems to think this is normal.

Will The Inman Aligner Affect My Speech?

April 28th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Hutchinson. I’ve got a slight overbite and some crooked front teeth. Now, I’ve been looking at the Inman Aligner as I’ve read that it works quickly and comfortably, but could you tell me if it’s going to affect my speech or not? I give regular speeches to large, corporate groups and I would have to consider some other form of treatment if this was the case? Would I be better with Invisalign which I can remove at such important times? Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Which Brace System Would Be Best Closing A Gap Between My Teeth In A Short Amount Of Time?

April 24th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Qureshi. I really hope you can offer your advice. I have a gap in my front teeth and it really bugs me. I would like to know if Invisalign would work for me. Ideally I’d like to have clear braces but I would go with the Damon braces or Inman Aligner if that would work faster. I have a wedding to go to in the next eight months and I’d like it sorted by then. What would be the best option? I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time.

Will I Be Charged For A Replacement Invisalign Aligner?

April 1st, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Qureshi, I’m wondering if you could help me. I stood on my Invisalign aligner by accident. It fell out of my mouth as I was putting it in and I just stepped on it. It’s completely snapped. I’m not keen on my dentist, I feel as though he lectures me and I don’t want to go back just for him to be angry at me and tell me I have to pay a lot of money for a new replacement. Will I be charged for the replacement of this particular set of aligners? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Doctor Patel, I’ve Developed A Sore Throat After Wearing Invisalign. Why Is This This?

December 23rd, 2013
Q.

Hey Doctor I have what I’m sure is a common problem that you could help me out with. Basically about 3 weeks ago I started on my Invisalign treatment. It was fine for the first couple of days but then I noticed that I had a slightly raw throat. I thought that this was just a bug that I’d get over so left it but it hasn’t got any better, it has in fact got worse. I’ve only just read that there are potential toxic reactions in some people so now I’m worried. Can you shed some light on this situation? Should I continue with the treatment or am I at risk of the problem getting worse if I do? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

I Received Invisalign Treatment But I’ve Now Noticed My Overbite To Be Much Worse And I Don’t Know Whether To Believe My Orthodontist?

October 14th, 2013
Q.

Hello, I received Invisalign months ago to correct some misalignment but mainly to fix my overbite. I’ve just noticed that my overbite now appears to be much worse than it was before and it’s really worrying me! I don’t understand, my teeth appear straighter yes but my teeth just don’t meet and you can really notice that I now have an overbite! What is going on? My orthodontist said this is normal and that he’s correcting my teeth first before anything else. I’m not so sure, I don’t know what to believe, please help! I really hope you can help me out with this.

Hi Ian. I’m A Little Concerned But My Dentist Has Said That Everything Is Fine. I Think I May Need To Seek A Second Opinion.

September 23rd, 2013
Q.

Hi Ian. I’m a little concerned but my dentist said that everything is fine. I think I may need to seek a second opinion. I’ve been wearing the invisalign aligners for a good 5 weeks now. Everything has been great so far. But my gums have started turning white. My dentist said that my gums are a little infected but that it’s under control and that I need to keep up with cleaning my teeth properly and I’m due to see a hygienist next week. However, they’re bleeding now and I have some small sores inside my mouth. Could it be i’m allergic to the plastic of the aligners or something? I’m really scared.

I Don’t Want My Braces To Be Noticed Or Affect My Speech, What’s The Best Option?

September 3rd, 2013
Q.

Hi! I just want to know if the attachments on the social 6 braces remain completely invisible at the back? Does it work with just a wire? Or are attachments present? The thing is, I’ve got it into my head that because it looks after only 6 teeth it means that the attachments will be bigger/bulkier. I ask because I constantly deliver presentations to large retail companies, I don’t want them to notice I’m wearing braces because of the nature of the industry and I don’t want the braces to affect my speech. Thank you for any advice!

As A Model I Can’t Have Fixed Braces, What Do You Recommend?

July 29th, 2013
Q.

Hi Dr Qureshi. As a woman you’ll understand the importance of looks, especially these days. I’m applying to be a model currently and I’ve had a few remarks about my teeth. My two front teeth contain a small gap but they also stick out ever so slightly, my dentist has said I have an overbite. In order for me to succeed with the modelling I’m going to need braces. The thing is, I can’t have anything fixed because of the work I’ll be doing. Can you please suggest a type of brace for me that will be suitable? And could you please give me an idea of how long I’ll have to wear them for? Thank you for your time.
