Which Type Of Brace Will Rectify My Canine Trouble?

Q.
My teeth are very crowded, both the upper and the lower with my canines digging into my gums. My mum didn’t think I needed braces when I was younger and when she realised it was too late to received them through the NHS. They are a state though and I’m looking for a good brace system that will fix them as soon as possible. I think it seems likely that the canines will have to be removed but do you know of any brace that can avoid this from happening? I’d have to pay for implants or whatever then as well wouldn’t I? It’s going to cost me an absolute fortune and I have no idea where to start but I can’t carry on like this. Thank you for reading this.

Hi there,

The best advise I can give you is to get down to an orthodontist so that they can have a look at the teeth and formulate a treatment plan for you. Once they have seen you, they can discuss in depth the treatment options available to you, as there may be more than one solution.

There are lots of braces out there and it really depends on the tooth movements that need to be done as to which is best for you, also, sometimes you need to remove teeth regardless of the type of brace used.

I hope this helps somewhat and good luck on your journey to beautiful, straight teeth.
