As A Model I Can’t Have Fixed Braces, What Do You Recommend?

Q.
Hi Dr Qureshi. As a woman you’ll understand the importance of looks, especially these days. I’m applying to be a model currently and I’ve had a few remarks about my teeth. My two front teeth contain a small gap but they also stick out ever so slightly, my dentist has said I have an overbite. In order for me to succeed with the modelling I’m going to need braces. The thing is, I can’t have anything fixed because of the work I’ll be doing. Can you please suggest a type of brace for me that will be suitable? And could you please give me an idea of how long I’ll have to wear them for? Thank you for your time.
A.
Hi there, if you are unable to wear fixed braces Invisalign might be the brace for you. It’s a clear removable brace that can be taken out when needed. Without seeing your teeth I cannot tell whether you will be suitable for this or how long it will take unfortunately.
The best way to clarify these details is to make a consultation appointment with an orthodontist who will be able to examine the teeth and give you an idea of time etc.
I hope this had been of some use,
Kind regards,
