Hi, I would like to know what the chances are of relapse for all the kinds of lingual braces available please? I’ve been put off from having invisalign and 6 month smiles because my general dentist said that aligners aren’t as effective as fixed braces. I don’t want fixed braces, I am desperate for lingual but heard that chances of relapse is far greater if I invest in them. My orthodontist has told me different things but I don’t know who to believe as I’ve been with my general dentist for 10 years! Can you please advise me? Thank you!

Hello, I would suggest that you find a clinic that offers free consultations and get a few different opinions on which types of brace would suit you personally, if you are not completely sure about the options you wish to take. It never hurts to get as many opinions as possible and you should get an idea of what kind of treatment you need.
