My Teeth Are Very Sensitive Now I’m Wearing Braces. Is This Normal?

Hi Dr Qureshi, I’m really hoping you can help me. I got braces just less than 4 months ago and now my teeth have gotten very sensitive. It’s mostly to cold things, like cold drinks and food like yoghurts that have been in the fridge. Sometimes if it’s cold outside the air actually affects my teeth and they feel sensitive even then! Is this normal, and what can be done about it? It really is a nuisance, and it’s very uncomfortable at times.

How Much Would it Cost to Fix an Overbite and Close a Gap Between My Teeth?

Hi there!
I’m 28 years old and have a pretty big gap between my two front teeth, which bothers me more than my overbite. Obviously it would be ideal to get both sorted BUT my main concern is the gap because it’s so obvious. I’ve been looking at veneers but would the overbite prevent me from being able to have them? My dentist thinks braces would be better than veneers, but I thought I’d get a second opinion from your good self. How much would the quickest option cost? Thank you!

Which Type of Lingual Brace is Right for Me?

Hello, I’m looking at braces but don’t know which ones are right for me. I actually didn’t know there were so many different types of lingual brace! Obviously it’s great to have a selection but I’m starting to get confused between all the different kinds. I have two quite big gaps between my teeth and some of the teeth at the front are a bit crooked, but apart from that they’re quite straight – not a complete mess! I want to start saving for braces so I’d just like to know which you think would be best for me?

Which Is Less Likely to Affect My Speech – Invisalign or Incognito?

Hello Dr Qureshi. I know I need braces but I don’t want them to be visible, so I’ve done some research into discreet orthodontic systems. However, I’d like to know your opinion on the difference between Incogntio and Invisalign – which is most comfortable? I know a girl from my local gym had braces but they cause her a lot of pain and discomfort, as well as her speech being impaired. I work in a coffee shop and spend all day talking to customers, so it’s important that my speech isn’t affected. Thank you.

Would You Recommend Going Abroad to Get Lingual Braces?

Hi Dr Qureshi. I am 29 years old and would love to get lingual braces to straighten out my smile. I live just outside of London though and the prices of all the different brace systems I’ve looked at are very, VERY expensive. I feel as though I’m too old for traditional braces and lingual braces sound perfect for me. I have looked at getting them abroad and it’s significantly cheaper, would you recommend this? I’ve read a few success stories so am curious, as I would really like to get my teeth straightened.

Which Braces Have The Fastest Treatment Time?

Hello Dr Qureshi, I’m hoping you can help me out. Around 6 years ago I had braces and my teeth were fine after treatment, very straight. I didn’t wear the retainer as much as I should have so I only have myself to blame I know, but my teeth have now moved back to their original position. Obviously I want my teeth to be straight again, but now time is an issue so I need the fastest brace possible!!! What would you suggest? I’ve been looking at both fixed and removable braces. Thanks!

Do I Need A Brace For Just Two Teeth?

Hello.
I’ve been to see my orthodontist a few times now and every time I go they’ve said I need a different kind of brace! It’s all because I’ve got two crooked tooth at the bottom of my mouth at the front. I’m not interested in treating any other teeth, just those two. I’ve been recommended 6 month smiles and invisalign, but I don’t really even want braces for just two teeth when the rest are fine! Can you recommend a treatment that’s just for one tooth? Thanks!!

What’s The Difference Between Lingual Braces And Invisalign?

Hi Dr. Qureshi, I wondered if you could help me. I have had terrible teeth for many years, they are crooked and horrible to look at and have decided to get braces to straighten them out. I’ve been looking at lingual braces and also at Invisalign, what’s the difference? I know a few celebrities have used Invisalign so it intrigued me, however I do like the sound of lingual braces. Which Brace System Would Be Best Closing A Gap Between My Teeth In A Short Amount Of Time?

Hello Dr Qureshi. I really hope you can offer your advice. I have a gap in my front teeth and it really bugs me. I would like to know if Invisalign would work for me. Ideally I’d like to have clear braces but I would go with the Damon braces or Inman Aligner if that would work faster. Will I Be Charged For A Replacement Invisalign Aligner?

Hi Dr. Qureshi, I’m wondering if you could help me. I stood on my Invisalign aligner by accident. It fell out of my mouth as I was putting it in and I just stepped on it. It’s completely snapped. I’m not keen on my dentist, I feel as though he lectures me and I don’t want to go back just for him to be angry at me and tell me I have to pay a lot of money for a new replacement. Will I be charged for the replacement of this particular set of aligners? Thanks in advance for your help!
