Is 3 months a reasonable treatment time for the Inman Aligner?

January 11th, 2013
Q.

My dentist has told me that my treatment will only be a few months and I just wanted to make sure that that was the right diagnosis of my orthodontic condition. I question it just because I had treatment a few years back (which has now moved) and it took like over a year for anything to have happened and that was a fixed brace. I know my teeth aren’t as bad now, but I am just a bit worried that my dentist might just be fobbing me off. What do you think? Is 3 months a general treatment time with the Inman aligner? Thank you .

Do you know of anyone who has had a bad experience when wearing lingual braces?

Q.

Hi, just briefly could you tell me if anyone has had any bad experiences with the lingual braces? Is it likely that food will get trapped in the braces all the time being at the back? If this is the case are they easy to clean? I understand that lingual braces are more cosmetic but I wouldn’t want something that’s a lot harder to maintain.

I want to get clear, removable braces after previous orthodontic treatment. Can you advise?

January 3rd, 2013
Q.

hi i had braces when i was 14 15 for over a year and all i ever wanted was straight teeth once they took them off i wasnt completely happy they didnt seem as straight as i thought they would be. Then i wasnt given retainers for a while so my teeth already started to move i had my retainers late and then eventually they were getting slits in them where the plastic was so soft at the very front on the top retainer, a dental nurse cut the front down so small that eventually it just ripped. I was measure up for another reatainer and when it came it did not fit my teeth i could feel it didnt and the nurse was trying to ram it on and it was just not the right shape at all i had another one and i knew it still didnt fit properly at the back so i went back and the nurse shouted at me saying i hadnt wore it at all but it just wasnt true because all i wanted was perfect teeth, then it got to the point where i was going back and they said i didnt need retainers anymore and now my teeth have moved outwards very badly the four front teeth, I am 18 and still would do anything for straight teeth i am a student and want to know if there would be any costs involved and if so how much roughly for me to have hidden or clear removable braces to straight up the front teeth?

Could you give me a rough cost for treatments like Six month smiles and invisible braces?

I would like to enquire about braces and what would be the best option for me iv read about the different types of braces im 23 and my teeth are quite over crowded in the front of my mouth which makes my teeth look a little bit bucked in front i was reading about the six month smiles and it seems pretty good and also the invisable braces how much roughly would you charge to do this? also are their any other options available to sort my problem out as it is making me feel a little down and depressed about it thank you

Should there still be signs of a lisp when I wear my Inman Aligner?

December 10th, 2012
Q.

Hello. I know that you’re supposed to have some speech problems at the start of getting braces put on but i have a constant lisp with the inman aligner in place. i feel like it’s getting worse gradually and its really affecting my confidence not so good. will it go away soon or how long even? i don’t want to be stuck with it! i don’t know what i should do as my orthodontist keeps saying it always happens in all cases but then for this long a time? i don’t think so! thanks.

I don’t want a bonded retainer after my braces treatment is complete. What can I do?

December 6th, 2012
Q.

I have been advised that I have to receive a bonded retainer after my brace treatment is completed. I don’t want a bonded retainer at all! Why would I require one of these things? I know I have to have a retainer but I don’t want a permanent one stuck to my teeth! Wouldn’t it just get in the way? I don’t want to struggle with eating/talking for the rest of my life with this thing in my mouth! What should I say to my dentist? He is adamant that I have have the bonded retainer. Thanks

Will chipped tooth prevent me from getting braces?

December 6th, 2012
Q.

Hello I was just wondering if you would be able to give me your professional opinion to help me? i’m due to go ahead with receiving invisalign braces, i’ve had all the measurements taken etc but i chipped my tooth at the weekend and i have to see my dentist this week, will this stop me receiving the braces? will i have to have the tooth fixed up first before i can start with my brace treatment? i’m really worried!

My teeth have shifted after braces treatment years ago. Can Lingual Braces fix this?

November 29th, 2012
Q.

Hello i had the awful train track braces when i was much younger (around 15 years ago) and my teeth were straightened out in a painful yet necessary process but they’re falling back into place and shifting again which is a nightmare for me now. i wasn’t as good with my retainer as i should have been so i think this is the reason for my teeth movement. i’m looking for a fix and feel i may be suitable for linguals..my question is: do you often use this type of brace to fix shifting teeth that were previously treated with a fixed brace? thank you, best,

I’m unsure if my braces are still working as I can’t feel much forces. Can you advise?

Q.

I have been wearing my braces for about 5 months now and am a little worried that it isn’t as effective as it once was. It feels a great deal looser and my teeth don’t seem to be moving as much as they once were. Is this just the way the braces works or should it be something for me to worry about? I am due to go back and see my dentist in about a month, but do you think it would be better if I did it now instead? I really want to get the best out of my brace, and it would seem a waste of time and money if I left things now. Do you think I will have to have a new brace at all? Thanks
