Is 3 months a reasonable treatment time for the Inman Aligner?

Q.
My dentist has told me that my treatment will only be a few months and I just wanted to make sure that that was the right diagnosis of my orthodontic condition. I question it just because I had treatment a few years back (which has now moved) and it took like over a year for anything to have happened and that was a fixed brace. I know my teeth aren’t as bad now, but I am just a bit worried that my dentist might just be fobbing me off. What do you think? Is 3 months a general treatment time with the Inman aligner? Thank you .
A.
In general I would factor a extra few months just in case the teeth do not move as is intended in the original treatment plan! My concern is that if teeth are moved too fast they may move back just as fast, so make sure that you have the appropriate retention in place at the end to hold the results in place and make sure your teeth stays straight.
Good luck
