What is the most discreet brace for me?

Q.
hi there im 57. I worked as a labourer for thirty years. this meant, as the work was physically hard my mouth was open for extended periods of the day in order to breath. now I’m told this could have contributed towards my teeth’s recent overlapping (this has happened progressively over the last few years or so). what I wanted to know was is this actually possible and if it is do you know of anything else that I can look at trying to stop? and as im still working as a brick layer which brace treatment is the least intrusive? for now im not bothered about speed, price or looks I just want the most comfort so it doesnt bother me when I work. cheers buddy

Hi, It is highly unlikely that the recent overlapping has been caused by your job. Teeth move as an ageing change and get a bit more crooked as you age.

There are lots of options available and until an orthodontist sees the extent of the work required, its hard to say what is available to you. Rest assured that there are lots of discrete braces available that impact minimally on everyday life. I suggest you get a consultation with a specialist Orthodontist to find out the vast variety of options and if you have any questions after the consultation, drop me an e-mail.

Good luck
Darsh
