Why have I heard so many different tales about different brace types?

Q.
hello Mr Patel. I have been llooking into getting a brace and have found that it is with anything else in life. If you want it and it looks good its not as good as it sounds, or not as good as the ugly one you dont want!!! in this case it comes down to the inman aligner and invisalign vs the damon and lingual for me. this is the small short-list which i have yet with the first two you’d think they had never been used or been successful with the things you hear “…they may not work, may not be for you, wont achieve this if any of the following 1000 criteria points don’t match…” etc. yet with the slightly more unsightly of the four (Damon) all you hear is amazing tales. I am not about to ask you which is best of the four but what are your opinions on the inman aligner and Damon system as a whole (not diagnosing for me- just your thoughts as an expert?) any feedback will help me build a picture of what to look for/expect. thank you

The reason why you have heard such contrasting tales is that they are worlds apart interms of what they can do! The easiest way to explain this is to look at the braces from a 2D(Inman) and 3D(Damon)point of view. Therefore if you are able to move teeth 3 dimensionally, the end result will be much better as a lot more varied movements can be done.
Hope that helps.
Good luck
