The pain from invisalign aligners isn’t subsiding, should I be worried?

Q.
Hello there, I just wondered if you could help me out with something? I’m experiencing great pain, particularly in my front teeth and I’ve been using the invisalign treatment for around 5 weeks now. My orthodontist said it’s normal to experience pain and I did at first but then it subsided but honestly, it’s really painful and even the painkillers don’t seem to be making that much difference! Should I be worried about this? I understand it’s good that there’s a little bit of pain because then I know the treatment is working but I can’t cope with it much longer. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for your question, at the beginning of all aligner treatment there is pain, so I would not be worried. Keeping using painkillers but do not take them in and out as this will hurt more. You must keep the aligners in and get through the pain barrier and then you will see it will get better.
Good luck!
