I don’t want my child to have to go through the ordeal of braces. What alternatives to train tracks do I have?

September 28th, 2011
Q.

My son needs braces but I don’t want to put him through the ordeal of having traditional braces at school, and i think he’s playing the whole situation. would Invu, lingual braces or Damon braces be able to sort out a slight over bite? we’ve been advised to step on the issue now before it becomes larger and a larger issue. If they can is there an age limit that would apply? he’s 10 now, will be 11? if this is true then what would be my other options if it does not apply which do you think would be the best option?

Q.

Hi Iam thinking about getting lingual braces. I have problems with a overbite and my front two teeth are buck, so i feel like i would only need them on my top teeth. But Iam worried as iam starting university this year and don’t want visible braces or speech problems when iam wearing them. Will i have speech problems the whole time iam wearing them? also how much am i loooking to pay? thank you x

Why are lingual braces more expensive than traditional ones?

September 28th, 2011
Q.

hi, if lingual braces are so much more than traditional braces ( train tracks) why is this? are they really complex or are they sooo much better? I was just trying to weigh up what the better option is for crooked teeth and could only see convenience as the main stumbling block. so my question would be what are the main advantages of lingual braces? secondly (you might answer this in the first) are they quicker than traditional braces?

As an actress clarity of speech is important, do lingual/invisible braces affect speech?

September 20th, 2011
Q.

Hi, Iam currently working as an actress, a few weeks ago when I was auditioning a director made a comment about my teeth being crooked which made me concious, so after a few weeks of thinking I have pretty much made up my mind and decided that I do want to get braces. I have heard that lingual are good as they are fixed but you cant see them. However a few people told me that they can affect your speech, is this true?

Can I get lingual braces with an overbite?

September 5th, 2011
Q.

What type of bite do you have to have to get lingual braces? Answering this would really help me in choosing which braces I can get for my problem. I want to get invisible braces but i think my bite might stop me, I consider myself to have a slight over bite and someone said that I’d knock the brackets off, is this true? Please give me some advice because Iam really confused, thanks for your help

I want braces, are Invisalign or Lingual braces better?

September 5th, 2011
Q.

Iam 18 and going to start uni next year, my teeth are crooked and I really regret never bothering with them before but when I was younger I was convinced that I didn’t want braces. But now I’a started looking at them I am wondering whether invisalign and lingual braces are the same thing? if not which one is better and how much do they cost?

I really want to have to perfect smile so badly however i don’t want to have visible braces as i feel like i am too old for them. Will lingual braces change the shape of my face?

August 30th, 2011
Q.

I should be getting lingual braces in the next few weeks, but I am afraid that there will be changes to my facial features as a result of a two year treatment plan. My orthodontist keeps telling me that if the treatment is done correctly there will be no change in my facial structure, yet I see many people on forums on the internet of lingual brace users with facial changes. I am to have four extractions (two behind bilateral, upper canine teeth, and two behind lower, bilateral canine teeth). I really like my face structure as it is now and don’t want it to change, please tell me that its not?
