Hi, my lingual brace feels loose on the back teeth. does this mean it’s broken or that its working? i’m seeing my orthodontist about it next week anyway (as they’re due to be adjusted) but i’m panicking and just need a peace of mind. it feels like it’s moving, the wires feel very loose…i haven’t done anything for this to happen. slightly concerned. thanks.

Hi, if the brace feels loose either the teeth have completed their movements or the brace is broken. Normally it’s quite easy to tell if the brace is broken because you can visibly see it moving.
I wouldn’t panic, even if it is broken your orthodontist can easily fix it next week. Should the bracket fall out completely just keep hold of it and take it with you next week.
