I have severely crowded teeth, does this mean I can’t have braces?

Q.
Hi. Dear expert could you please aid me. I have had long running problems with crooked teeth and oral hygiene. because my bottom teeth are so crooked I cannot get even flossets between them to floss which means I have to spend extra time brushing, guessing whether or not they are OK. I have now had enough and want braces but I don’t want the ones on the front. my concern though is that the ones on the back of the teeth won’t be suitable for me as some teeth are nearly behind others they are that crossed, in this scenario what would you do? thanks
A.
Let me reassure you that it would be highly unlikely that you cannot have inside braces due to the level of crowding. It will usually depend on the expertise of the Orthodontist carrying out the treatment to whetehr offer you this treatment. I routinely deal with the most crowded of cases and carry them out successfully using lingual braces.
At this stage I suggest you get a consultation to assess all options and take it from there.
Good luck
