How much time does it take for Six Month Smiles and the Inman Aligner to straighten teeth?

Q.
I have got very crooked teeth at the front of my mouth and have talked to many people on forums and the like, but none of them are experts. I have been looking to fix these but using an alternative method to traditional braces. I have looked at the inman aligner and have been told on many occasion that it is one of the fastest treatments to sort out crooked teeth, would you say that this is the case? ad also could you tell me about them? I wanted to know, if they are fast how fast is fast because you can get this six month smile treatment which is obviously really quick. If the inmans are quick how do they work and how much do they cost and how do they work? I know this seems like a lot but thankyou in advance, I just want to gather as much information/feedback as I can before making a decision , thankyou.

You have gone about it the right way, you should gather as much information as possible and have a few consultations to gauge opinions and more importantly experience with particular systems.

This is best carried out by a Specialist Orthodontist. as you know you are being treated by someone that does this day in day out!

The Inman aligner has claimed to be fast, it is but beacuse it only tips (pushes teeth) forwads or back, therfore can only treat limited problems. The more crooked the teeth are the less it is suitable, as the teeth will spring back just as fast! The best option is to use a fixed appliance as they can move teeth 3-dimensionally thereby helping to keep them there long-term. The reason why orthodontics take some time for treatment(usually min 1 year)is because for the first 6 months the teeth line up (Hence six month smiles!) however, the second six months will help move the roots into the right position therby helping to keep them there! What do you want? Just straight teeth or straight teeth that are more likely to stay there! So beware if something is too good to be true, it usually is!

I hope this helps you amke a decison as to what is best for you!
Good luck
