Q.
Hey Dr Qureshi, I had removable braces for 3-4 years (age 13-16) to help straighten my top teeth, but after a year of no braces my teeth were crooked. Last year in August when I was 18 I had a veneer on one of my bottom teeth, however the fake tooth had fallen off twice, thus my tooth has now been covered with cement. I am now stuck because I want to have lingual braces, although that one tooth is causing problems, because if I have the cement taken off the tooth would be sensitive. What do you suggest that I do? Regards, I look forward to your advice.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. It’s a difficult decision, and one you need to take on your own as you are already aware of the issues that come with this. May I ask why your veneer keeps coming off? You should seek the help of a dental expert in this matter and only go forward with the treatment when you feel totally comfortable. Many thanks.
