Are my crooked teeth ‘hiding’ bacteria?

Q.
hello Mr Patel. i have been suffering from problems with my teeth for a while now and i think it could give me gum disease. I have been looking online at things that say that crooked teeth can hide bacteria that you cant get at when brushing. if this is the case then I am in a rush. I am twenty and i have had crooked teeth for nearly eighteen years. If this is causing some damage that I can’t see and I need to fix it. which brace gets teeth straight whist still being able to brush/ maintain health? what would you recommend ? thank you very much for your time.

Hello there, thank you for your question. Firstly you need to get the “gum disease” assessed and treated by your dentist and then braces would be the ideal solution to help facilitate keeping everything cleaner. Your dentist or you could then find an orthodontist to treat you for your braces.
Good luck
